Organized by: Rohilkhand College of Nursing

Introduction:National Immunization Day, also known as National Vaccination Day, is observed to spread awareness about the vital role of vaccines in preventing life-threatening diseases and improving public health. The 2026 theme, “Immunization for All is Humanly Possible,” emphasizes the importance of ensuring vaccine access for every individual.

Objectives of the Program

  • To create awareness among rural populations about immunization
  • To educate villagers about the importance and benefits of vaccines
  • To encourage timely vaccination among children and adults
  • To eliminate myths and misconceptions related to immunization

Program Highlights: The program was successfully conducted in Sithra Village with active participation from approximately 100 villagers and school children.

  1. NukkadNatak (Street Play): GNM III-year students performed an engaging and informative NukkadNatak based on immunization awareness.
  • The play highlighted the importance of timely vaccination
  • It addressed common myths and fears related to vaccines
  • The performance attracted a large audience and effectively conveyed health messages in a simple and relatable manner
  1. Awareness Rally: An awareness rally was organized throughout the village.
  • Students and participants carried placards and raised slogans promoting immunization
  • The rally covered key areas of the village to reach a maximum number of people
  • It helped sensitize villagers about the importance of protecting children through vaccination

Participation: Our faculties, school teachers, children and villagers actively participated in the program. GNM III-year students played a major role in organizing and executing the activities.

Outcome of the Program

  • Increased awareness among villagers regarding immunization
  • Positive response from the community towards vaccination
  • Improved understanding of vaccine-preventable diseases
  • Encouragement for parents to ensure complete immunization of their children
